Veritas Prep: Students Shine in STEM Robotics Competition

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Students at Veritas Prep Charter Public School in Springfield participated in a robotics challenge on Tuesday as part of STEM Week.

The event provided students with hands-on experience in programming and operating robots, testing their skills by making the robots move in a square.

“A lot of my students have asked, ‘Where are we going to use it at?’” said sixth-grade science teacher Timothy Thomas. “We’ve used the equation of basketball. Everything that you do is science-related. From dribbling to putting arc on the ball, you’re using math.”
