American Medical Response reports that cardiac events often increase during this time of year. Factors such as overeating, increased stress, and alcohol consumption can contribute to these emergencies, especially for individuals with a history of cardiac issues.
Kim D’Angelo, Director of Operations at American Medical Response, advises moderation and vigilance for symptoms during the holidays. Holiday Heart Syndrome is a temporary condition that can cause irregular heartbeats, often triggered by holiday-related stress.
