American Training joins Fenway’s Green Team for a day

Guests from Lowell-based American Training became members of the Fenway Park Green Team for a day in September. The Green Team is a group that has been helping keep the historic ballpark neat and tidy since 2008. Volunteers spent a day combing the rows of the stadium looking for recyclables, which were then sorted into Fenway’s single-stream recycling system. This process allows all sorts of materials, including cardboard, plastic and paper, to be sorted together, and has helped Fenway and its Green Team save nearly 400 tons of waste from heading to landfills annually. After seven innings of volunteering, the hard-working American Training guests relaxed and took in some baseball with complimentary sodas and Fenway Franks.
