AMR CT: 1st Responders honored for service during cardiac emergencies in New Haven

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A group of first responders were honored Saturday morning in New Haven for going above and beyond to save lives. 

February is American Heart Month and 50 heroes were recognized by the American Medical Response (AMR) New Haven for their integral roles in responding to, and resuscitating, patients experiencing cardiac arrest. 

Supervisors there today told News 8 of the importance in celebrating these moments as well as the hard work of each EMT and paramedic. 

AMR New Haven’s goal was to raise awareness about heart health and the critical role of early intervention in cardiac emergencies.
