AMR Fairfield: Students in Fairfield get a realistic look at dangers of distracted and impaired driving
Fairfield first responders and one of the high schools each year partner for a mock car crash safety simulation ahead of prom season.
Tuesday’s event will be held at Fairfield Ludlowe High School.
This interactive event demonstrates the response of local emergency services but also gives students a real look at serious victims from wrecked vehicles, and experts hope that might make them think before they get behind the wheel.
The simulation walks students through the entire emergency process — from the initial 911 call to the on-scene medical support and simulated transport of injured student actors to the hospital.
