GREENFIELD — City officials and representatives from the medical transportation company AMR dedicated two new ambulances to the city on Wednesday.
“By the strength of a public-private partnership, we’re proud to offer these ambulances here in Greenfield and the surrounding communities,” Patrick Pickering, regional director of AMR, said at a press conference outside the Fire Station on Wednesday.
The two new ambulances, which are provided by AMR at no cost to Greenfield and will be operated by the company, replace two vehicles that were about eight years old, said AMR Operations Manager Patrick Leonardo.
The vehicles are “fully outfitted with the latest technologies,” said Leonardo, adding that the vehicles have new automatic lifting stretchers.
