Veritas Prep Charter School: Latino educators in Springfield recognized for impact in classrooms at awards ceremony
Veritas Prep school counselor Mario Chavarria, known for his optimism and high energy, was also recognized for his dedication to the school community. A member of the 10th-grade team, Chavarria also coaches girls’ flag football. Officials say his mentorship has led to academic turnarounds and increased student enrollment in summer learning and certification programs.
