Walmart to open distribution center at former Aubuchon warehouse in Westminster

WESTMINSTER — The former Aubuchon Hardware building off Route 2 in Westminster will find new life as a Walmart distribution center.
About 181,000 square feet of the the 397,000 square foot warehouse at 95 Commercial Drive has been leased by Walmart Stores East LP to serve as a warehouse and distribution center for the retail giant, according to Saugatuck Commercial Real Estate of Westport, Connecticut, which represented Westminster Realty LLC in the multi-year lease agreement.
The building was leased to Walmart following a review of several dozen proposals.
