Abigail Silverman
In her role as Account Director, Abigail manages numerous of the firm’s accounts in the public policy, education, and non-profit portfolios where she provides media relations, strategic communications, and crisis management expertise. She is a skilled writer who can craft op-eds, press releases, pitches, and other internal or external communications for her clients, and maintains strong relationships with members of the media across the country.
Abigail came to Slowey McManus from the Massachusetts State House, where she spent over three years working for Representative David P. Linsky, Chair of the House Committee on Post Audit and Oversight. As Chairman Linsky’s Communications and Legislative Director, Abigail was the official spokesperson for the office, handling all communication efforts including speech writing, press and media relations, and social media, and was responsible for drafting, filing, and managing the Chairman’s legislation and budget amendments.
Prior to her role at the State House, Abigail was the Development and Communications Coordinator for the New England office of the American Jewish Committee (AJC) and a Field Organizer on Don Berwick’s campaign for Governor of Massachusetts.
While completing her Master’s Degree at Emerson College, Abigail was an advisor to the Emerson College Polling Society, developing, conducting, and overseeing dozens of national polls for the 2018 Midterm Elections. Polls she developed for Emerson Polling have been cited by national outlets including MSNBC, NPR, and The New York Times.
Abigail has a B.A. in Government and Anthropology from Skidmore College and a Master’s in Communication Management, focusing on Political Communication, from Emerson College.
